Afterschool Info

After-School Care is subject to change.
There are a variety of after-school programs available:

After School Enrichment Program (ASEP): A variety of fun, educational classes are organized by SBUSD. In the past, these have included knitting, cartooning, astronomy, theater, foreign languages, dance and much more! Sign ups are announced in the fall and spring. Fees vary. Classes run times vary.


A-OK: Available through Santa Barbara Unified School District for grades TK-6. A-OK is held in classrooms and on
the field. 


Recreational Afterschool Program (RAP): Available through the City of Santa Barbara Recreation Department
for grades 1-6. RAP is held in the cafeteria and playground every school day, from dismissal until 5:30 p.m. (The
program begins earlier on Early Release Wednesdays.) Homework supervision is included. Sign up for an entire
session or a drop-in pass for more occasional use at the City Recreation Department downtown or at
www.sbparksandrecreation.com


Eastside Santa Barbara Boys and Girls Club: This state-licensed daycare is located at 632 E. Canon Perdido
Street. All K-6 students are eligible and care continues until 6:00 p.m. Transportation is not provided from
Roosevelt’s campus at this time; however, the Roosevelt school bus has a nearby stop (see Arrivals and Departures).

Westside Santa Barbara Boys and Girls Club: A van picks up students from Roosevelt’s main office and
transports them to this state-licensed daycare at 602 W. Anapamu St. All K-6 students are eligible and care
continues until 6:00 p.m. Contact the Club for a registration packet. Contact: (805) 966-2811.
