Our strong community of teachers, parents, and staff make Roosevelt a wonderful place for children to learn and grow.
Together, we rigorously prepare our students for the future, while inspiring them to become life-long learners. Our mission is to nurture problem-solving, compassionate, and responsible future citizens who honor diversity and positively impact their communities and world.
Roosevelt’s academic program is led by a dynamic and seasoned staff of educators who care deeply about the growth and development of their students. The program includes a comprehensive language arts and math curriculum and GATE Program, along with weekly music, studio art, computer lab, and PE classes for all grades.
A few of Roosevelt’s enrichment programs include extended outdoor education at Catalina Island Cimi Camp, Rancho El Chorro Camp and Outdoor School; Los Marineros, a marine biology program developed by the Museum of Natural History; PTO-sponsored arts assemblies, field trips, parent workshops, and after school classes (ASEP) such as yoga, dance, cooking and cartooning.
Roosevelt is located on four acres in the historic upper east side of Santa Barbara. The school building houses a state-of-the-art computer lab, an art/science room, music room, auditorium, sports field, kindergarten garden, and two playgrounds.
This website is designed to help new and prospective families learn more about Roosevelt and keep all our current families updated. Check back regularly to view our calendar filled with fun and enriching events.
